Button Properties

Click on a value to edit. Properties of this selected shape(s) are shown on the left. Values are on the right. An explanation of each property is shown in a box on the bottom.

Because this button has button states, there are three buttons at the top, one for each state. Pressing the Up, Over, or Down button switches the editing environment to one of editing the shape associated with the Up, Over, or Down state.

You are asked how you want to create the Over and Down states when you press one of these buttons the first time. You can have an Over state but not a Down state and vice versa or no states other than the Up state.

The actions and sounds properties allow you to assign actions and sounds to the button.

Definition of Terms

The Up state is how the button appears when the mouse is not over or pressing the button.
The Over state is how the button appears when the button is over the mouse.
The Down state is how the button appears when the mouse presses the button.
So there can be up to three shapes associated with a button, one for each state.
